Saturday afternoon there were fireworks flying ferociously from Wally's driveway ~ well, it just sounded like that to those of us in the house!
I had taken a walk down to see if I could fix their printer. Mom was outside working on the rocks when I arrived; she's reclaiming the yard little by little! Dad was nowhere in sight at that point.
On the way out the door we heard fireworks. I felt like investigating.
All looked fine ~ the source of the commotion was John and Wally. Little did we know what caused it!
Whew... that was close!
After all the excitement we pushed that Whaler back up the driveway and into the garage where Wally will work on fixing the loose rail. Thanks to Vicki McIntosh for helping push that monster in (she witnessed the incident while walking to town).
John getting ready to lower the outboard ~ there must be a battery switch up at the steering console.
After all the excitement we had to take a look at the new rig and test drive it... John drove Colleen and I up to the post office; I drove it back. Drives smooth, has a huge woofer in the back, rear-view mirror has a video while reversing and it's still clean!!
So did I read it right? The boat almost hit John's new truck?!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I just saw Emily W. blog... I think Brooke needs a little apron just her size! :)
Yes it was an accident bound to happen when the trailer got away from them... they were trying to maneuver it into the garage just so! It was more than a 2 man job ~ the women came to the rescue!!
